Lands & Resources
The Lands & Resources Department supports the responsible care, use, and protection of Yale First Nation lands and traditional territory.

The department assists with land-use planning, referrals, environmental stewardship, community projects, and matters involving natural resources. Working with leadership, members, governments, and external organizations, the team helps ensure that development and resource activities respect Yale First Nation’s rights, interests, values, and responsibilities to the land.
Information and support related to proposed developments, land-use referrals, permits, and activities that may affect Yale First Nation lands or traditional territory.
Helping protect Yale First Nation’s rights, interests, cultural values, and connection to the lands and waters throughout the traditional territory.
Supporting the protection of water, wildlife, forests, fish habitat, and other natural resources through responsible planning and environmental review.
