
Fisheries Manager
Dominic Hope
Dominic Hope is the Fisheries Manager for Yale First Nation. In this role, he works closely alongside Fisheries and Oceans Canada (DFO) and the Aboriginal Fisheries Strategy (AFS) to support fisheries management, monitoring, and stewardship initiatives.
Dominic oversees fisheries-related activities, supports compliance and coordination efforts, and works collaboratively with partners and internal teams to ensure Yale First Nation’s fisheries priorities are respected and upheld. His role plays an important part in protecting and managing fish resources and supporting sustainable practices within Yale First Nation territory.

Fisheries Monitor Manager Connie Belair
Connie Belair serves as the Fisheries Monitor Manager for Yale First Nation during the summer months. In this role, she oversees and supervises the Fisheries Monitors, supporting day-to-day monitoring activities and ensuring fieldwork is carried out safely, respectfully, and in alignment with Yale First Nation priorities.
Connie provides guidance to monitors, helps coordinate schedules and reporting, and supports communication between the Fisheries team and leadership. Her role is key in maintaining strong on-the-ground monitoring and supporting Yale First Nation’s stewardship of its lands and waters during the active fishing season.
